Peter Hesse

Peter is passionate about small business and believes the world is big enough for everyone to be successful.

This is the mindset of all of the team at PDH Accounting Services - our goal is to help you to succeed.Peter also believes that it is important to give to the local community and has been actively involved with the Business Growth Centre Limited (formerly Lake Macquarie Business Centre Limited) for many years. He currently fills up any spare time with other pro bono charity work.

Peter is a keen AFL follower and still plays AFL for the local masters’ competition. He also enjoys fishing and heading out onto Lake Macquarie on a regular basis.

Amber Mackay


Commencing her career in audit services before moving into small business and taxation has given Amber a strong grounding in business operation and systems as well as taxation and compliance issues.

Amber has also had a special focus on assisting clients to manage their internal accounting systems by providing support with implementation and training on various accounting software systems.

Since commencing with PDH Accounting, Amber has combined this strong knowledge of internal accounting systems with her experience in the tax and business consulting area to provide clients with assistance in all areas of their business.

Samantha Westbury

Accounting Bookkeeper

Sam has experience in various business administration and bookkeeping roles across a variety of industries.

Sam enjoys solving complex problems in a team environment with an eye to helping both individuals and businesses to produce outstanding results.

Sam is always happy to help and is dedicated to assisting our clients with all of their accounting requirements.

Alison Cleary


Alison started working at PDH Accounting Services in 2008, where she is the Office Manager and a bookkeeper. She has had over 30 years experience in providing administrative and computer support and training services in various organisations and has worked as a bookkeeper for several small businesses.

Alison is responsible for many aspects of administration for the firm, including accounts receivable and debt collection. She also prepares most of the individual tax returns and provides bookkeeping services to a number of our clients on a quarterly basis.

Alison is a great problem solver and she also provides basic computer and systems support to the organisation. She is also experienced in using Xero and provides support to many of our clients.

Alison spends her spare time quilting, playing board games, reading, making lemon butter for various charities to sell, going to the movies and spending time with family and friends. She is also involved in her local church, Climate Action Newcastle and a local sustainable neighbourhood program.

Robyn O’Brien

Office Administrator

With a career background in customer service and reception/administration roles, Robyn has been with the PDH Accounting Services team since 2013.

Robyn is responsible for reception, and her duties include answering incoming phone calls and providing assistance over the phone and by email. She also assists with the daily administration duties for the firm.

Often having first contact with our clients, Robyn is committed to providing positive experiences for our clients whom she enjoys interacting with and she is always ready to be of assistance wherever possible.

When she’s not binge-watching Netflix or indulging in her passion for online shopping, Robyn is a dedicated mum and wife, enjoying her new found love of renovating her home, and she also enjoys cooking, gardening, going out for dinner and socialising with family and friends.
