Peter Hesse

Peter3Peter started PDH Accounting in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University and has been a registered tax agent since 1998.

Peter has over 20 years experience in public practice, servicing small and medium businesses and quickly understand the needs of each individual business.

Peter strongly believes in asset protection and one of the first reviews conducted when clients contact PDH Accounting is to review the current structure of business operations and make recommendations as required.

Peter also believes that it is important to give to the local community and has been actively involved with the Business Growth Centre Limited (formerly Lake Macquarie Business Centre Limited) for over 5 years. He has a passion for small business and enjoys watching and assisting in business growth. He currently does other pro bono charity work.

Peter is a keen AFL follower and still plays AFL for the local masters’ competition. He also enjoys fishing and heading out onto Lake Macquarie on a regular basis.

Amber Mackay


Amber is currently on leave.

Amber has over 13 years experience providing accounting services to a large variety of small to medium businesses.

Commencing her career in Audit services before moving into small business and taxation has given Amber a strong grounding in business operation and systems as well as taxation and compliance issues.

Amber became a QuickBooks Accredited partner in 1999 and a MYOB certified consultant shortly afterwards. She has had special focus on assisting clients manage their internal accounting systems by providing support with the implementation and training of accounting software systems.

Since commencing with PDH Accounting, Amber has combined this strong knowledge of internal accounting systems with her experience in the tax and business consulting area to provide clients with assistance in all areas of their business.

Alison Cleary

Alison3Alison is the Office Manager at PDH Accounting Services. She has a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) through TAFE. She has had over 25 years experience in providing administrative and computer support and training services in various organisations and has worked as a bookkeeper for several small businesses.

Alison is responsible for all aspects of administration for the firm, including accounts receivable, ASIC documentation and debt collection. She also provides bookkeeping services to some of our clients on a quarterly basis.

Alison is a great problem solver and she is usually the first person you speak to when you ring us.

Alison spends her spare time quilting, playing board games, reading, going to the movies and spending time with family and friends. She is also involved in her local church and in a local sustainable neighbourhood program.

Robyn O’Brien

RobynRobyn O’Brien has joined the team at PDH Accounting Service’s Team as an office administrator. Robyn has a long history of employment in the retail and administration services sector. Robyn started working for PDH Accounting Services in 2013 and she is an integral part of the team, ensuring that the office runs smoothly.When Robyn isn’t at work, she’s a busy mum to her three children, shuffling between their various work, school and sporting activities. She spends any spare time she has indulging in her passion for food and cooking and loves to keep in touch with her close circle of friends.
